August Update

So I realize it has been quite a while since the last post- I apologize for that. We have been absolutely crazy around here. I will do a "quick" recap.
Last week was a busy week just finishing up all of Aidan's school wardrobe, supplies, and everything that goes with that. We got everything ready to go by Thursday! We went to the fair as a family on Friday and we had a blast. Nick spent the majority of the day in the swine barn watching the 4-H show, while Aidan and I wondered. We got to see Amanda after her firer-fighter makeover by Twin Cities Live, which was exciting. After the show, we ran into many of Nick's friends from college and high school. He had a great time catching up with them!

Saturday Aidan and Nick had a "boys day." I spent the day in Stillwater celebrating Kristin's bachelorette party. It was a blast! We had a great relaxing day, followed by an entertaining night.

Sunday was a day of recovery. Nick had a reaction the the cortisone that we have been putting on his several bug bites and broke out in a nice rash. Nick's brother stopped by and we all chilled.

Monday was a nightmare of a day. I was supposed to have a closing at noon and we got an email at 9 saying it would be moved to 4. I ran around and got a closing gift, chiropractic adjustment, Monday Caribou ($1!), and brought Aidan to his Kindergarten assessment. (Which went very well!) While sitting at the closing office at 3:45 we got the call that the house wasn't going to close. Then we were going to close. In the end we did close, but my client was not done signing until 6:30! What a crazy day! We ended the day well though. We had the Peper family over for dinner and had a great time!

Today was a hard day for me! Aidan had his Kindergarten meet and greet this morning. Nick was able to get off work to come with us so we were all able to go as a family. Aidan got to put all his school supplies in his classroom and got his picture taken. We went around to all the tables, turned in all our forms, and paid all our money. (Not Nick's favorite part... ;). ) In one week, I will have a Kindergartener- for real. :( (Nick is already predicting the crying at the bus stop....)
