Weekend Fun

Friday was a difficult day at work for both Nick and I. That being said, we decided the it might be a good night for a "date night." We haven't had one in awhile. Nick got home from work and I took Aidan over to my parent's house for the night. I told him to think about what he wanted for dinner. When I got home, he asked if I wanted to go to Chipotle. (If you didn't know I am really burnt out on Chipotle and am not a huge fan of their newly advertised causes and would really not like to support them.) I said no, and said I wanted to do something sit down. I told Nick he could pick anywhere and he said we were going to Friday's. We got in the car and headed over and Nick surprised me by going to Kona Grill. (I have been wanting to try it for awhile.) He had made reservations well before we had started talking about dinner. Nick got a burger and I had their Pad Thai. (It was GREAT!) We went back home and just relaxed and watched movies for the rest of the night- it was great!

Saturday was pretty uneventful. We ran errands, went to church, and had Andy over for dinner and drinks.

Sunday we worked on starting to landscape the back yard. Aidan got to go to Toy Story 3 with Uncle Matt and Cassie. He was so excited to hang out with Cassie. When he got home Nick and I surprised him with ordering pizza and we had a picnic in the family room. (which is a treat for Aidan since he usually has to eat everything at the table.) We spent the rest of the night watching a House marathon, building Lego's, and going James Bond on Nick with some Lego guns while he was on the phone.

Today Aidan and I went to Mall of America to check out the new 77 Kids store (by American Eagle). With Aidan wearing uniforms everyday at school, he really doesn't need many non-school clothes. I did want to pick out a nice outfit for him to wear for pictures (and I had 20% off). Their clothes were adorable- especially the baby clothes. We found a cute outfit and got a couple t's because they were on sale. We then ran to Old Navy to finish up Aidan's uniforms (they have really nice and inexpensive black pants and polos.) and picked up a couple clearance polos at PS by Aeropostal. Aidan should now be set for clothes for the school year! :)

Aidan with his new clothes on. (He has a candy necklace on too.) :)
