I've realized that this term takes on a whole new meaning when you are not in college. I am referring to the $2 any cold drink at Caribou offer that has totally made my day today. How can one not be excited when their favorite place and addiction is less than half price. Nick was even nice enough to call and pretend to be excited too. If you are reading this, and it is still Thursday, you can get your coupon at www.cariboucoffee.com/beattheheat . Happy Thursday!
In other news, we really don't have anything too excited consuming our lives right now. Aidan and I have been attending many school playdates so he can meet his new classmates. I have all of his schools supplies and uniforms bought and we are ready to rock.
I am a co-chair in training for the 5K at our church on Saturday, August 21st. If you want a 5K to run that morning, I would love to see you out at St. Hubert. If you are interested in details, contact me- I am so excited to be able to be apart of this! :) (Any of you that know me well, know that I really enjoy planning things.)
Nick has been busy trying to plan next year for the basketball club. He meets with his coaches regularly and they really enjoy what they do. He is also getting geared up for the state fair. Nick, along with his family, owns showpigs. This year Aidan will be showing pigs at the fair (on Wednesday, September 1). Nick has been teaching Aidan how to show the pigs and I think they are taking a trip down to the farm this weekend to practice. (If anyone wants to come see Aidan show, I will follow with times and such once I know them- it is during the day though.)
We will be at the fair 5 or 6 of the days- so if you're there, let us know- we'd love to see you. (Actually I get quite bored just sitting in the pig barn and welcome doing something that is not that.)
