Yes, Aidan made it through his first week of school. He lost his uniform sweatshirt on the first day. (Luckily his teacher found it for him.) He really enjoys riding the bus to and from school, has made a bunch of friends, and comes home excited everyday! (And very tried- the waterworks start just by looking at him!)
His second week is going just as well as his first. Monday night Aidan started his fall routine of swimming lessons at night. Tonight he starts having Run Club after school (which I am helping with.) He loves picking out healthy snacks to bring to school.
On Monday they sent home a field trip form for the Apple Orchard. Parents are all invited to come with. I asked Aidan if he wanted me to come with. He asked if I wanted to come with. I said only if he wanted me to. He responded with, "Well yeah, but only so you don't get lonely at home without me." I think he thinks I just sit here all day and wait for him to come home. :)
On a personal note, this weekend we had "girls day" at the Gopher's game. Liz and Kristine came with and we went tailgating and then to the game- KID FREE! It was so nice to hang out and just chill without having to chase, discipline, play with, etc and children. (Though we all love our kids)
Also, I won my fantasy football game this weekend- Take that Ronnie! :)
im so glad school is going well! haha i love that he thinks you sit at home and wait for him everyday :) so cute
