First Day of School

It is that time of year again- school is starting today. I know that many of my friends are starting their year-long journeys today too. (Good luck all of you teachers!)

I got up early this morning to make sure everyone and everything was ready to go on time. Aidan got up, had some breakfast, got himself dressed, brushed his teeth, and was ready to go by 8:15. (Which is a slight problem, since the bus doesn't come until 8:39.) So we went over all of our important information. Aidan has to switch buses at the middle school on his way to school- so we went over all that too. We made sure he knew which school he was going to, his phone number, and -of course- his name.

We walked Aidan to the bus in the nasty, cold mist and paparazzi-ed him the whole way there. His bus came right on time and he got on the bus. There were a bunch of middle-schoolers on the bus with them- so hopefully one of them helps him find his way. I swore I wouldn't cry- but as he got on the bus I shed a couple tears.
